Leprecon releases LPC Software Version 1.1

Leprecon has just released new software for the LPC series console with version 1.1 and has added another model to their latest console line, the LPC-96V. The LPC series is perfect for users who desire a back to basics approach in a conventional lighting desk but also require that the feature set grow along with their system needs.

First introduced in the spring of 2009 at USITT, the LPC series is now available in 2 models: the LPC-48V and the newer LPC-96V. The LPC-96V will support the use of 96 single scene faders or operate as a two scene 48 channel preset console with 20 pages of 48 submasters. Both offer hands on fader control for dimmers and LED’s and can utilize the optional touch screen for an enhanced user interface.

Each console will now support version 1.1 software. Features include:
- 512 control channels
- 2 universes of DMX (1024 outputs)
- cue copy function
- on screen keypad and QWERTY keyboard
- other features including an option for W-DMX wireless transmitter

Current LPC owners are encouraged to contact the factory to arrange for the free software upgrade to version 1.1. Please contact Michelle Gyde in our Service Department at 888-422-3537, ext 202 for a RA number.

LP-1600 Plus control console update

We have had a recent change in the availability of our Leprecon LP-1600 Plus or video series consoles. As it turns out, the computer has been discontinued in these units and there is no other replacement available. As of April 2009, the Plus models will no longer be available.

Please make a note that the following model numbers have been discontinued:

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have quoted or were considering the LP-1600 with VGA & disk drive there is another option... the new LPC series console.

The LPC-48V is the first in a series of new consoles from Leprecon. It is equipped with VGA output, an optional touchscreen interface, a 10-digit keypad, and USB for file storage and software updates.

The LPC is the first in a new series of consoles from Leprecon. Primarily intended for systems running conventional lighting, the LPC offers hands on fader control for dimmers and LEDs. A keypad and touchscreen gives the user a variety of individual programming styles.

Equipped with one universe of DMX and over 200 channels of control, this console offers a back to basics approach but provides all the features needed for any experienced user. Designed for a wide variety of applications, the LPC-48V will operate as a single scene 48 channel or a two scene 24 channel preset console. There are also 20 pages of 24 Submasters. The Cue section is fully equipped with individual up, down, follow, and wait times along with a graphical cue list for viewing and editing cues. Six programmable “Quick Looks” are perfect for volunteer staff who just needs to bring up work lights or set a look with the push of a button. The dynamic user interface adds to the LPC’s simplicity and makes it the ideal choice for schools and houses of worship.

Leprecon’s new aris™ Architectural Interface System recently won “ Best Overall Lighting Product” from Worship Facilities Expo, better known as WFX. The award was presented at the 2008 show held in Houston Texas November 6-7th. The Worship Facilities Expo focuses on a wide range of technology including lighting and audio/visual for houses of worship.

The aris™ Architectural Interface System consists of the AI-512 and optional control surfaces to give you complete control at your fingertips. Housed in either a compact wall mount or 2ru rack mount chassis, the AI-512 contains all the necessary hardware and software to interface with and control any DMX lighting system. All 512 DMX channels can be used for architectural or stage lighting and easily recalled from a number of different interfaces such as our aris™ wall stations, any DMX console, or our aris™ Ethernet stations, including the exclusive 15 inch integrated touch computer.

The software of the aris™ system allows for energy management via astronomical clock event triggers, the creation of dynamic looks via DMX snapshots and the ability to network the system and gain access from anywhere in the world.

First shown at LDI 2007 show in Orlando FL November 16 – 18th, wireless DMX is an optional add-on package to the recently introduced ULD series dimmers. March 2008 - Leprecon has released Version 1.4 Software for their Litescape Series AI-512 Architectural Interface.

The AI-512 V1.4 software includes Astronomical Clock allowing users to set events based on local sunrise or sunset, double the number playbacks for up to 24 individual looks and DMX mapping of the Lockout function are just a few of the new features users will come to appreciate. The AI-512 software is easily configured and programmed via a web browser, requiring no additional software.

The AI-512 Litescape Architectural Interface, introduced in May 2006 was designed to enable wall panels from the Litescape system to work in conjunction with Leprecon MX and VX series or DMX-512 controlled dimming installation systems. Housed in a 2RU chassis, the AI-512 is equipped with DMX In/Out, an Ethernet connection for programming via a laptop, dual RJ connectors for connecting remote wall panels, and a USB port for show storage and software uploads.

Leprecon’s new LDS-610 Dimmer Stick has walked away with yet another award, this time for Best Lighting Equipment in the Theatrical Dimmer category. The award was presented at the 2007 WFX show held in Atlanta GA October 25-26th. The Worship Facilities Expo focuses on a wide range of technology including lighting and audio/visual for houses of worship. With over 5000 attendees and over 400 exhibitors, WFX is quickly becoming a must attend for anyone involved in the House of Worship market.

The LDS-610 also won Best Product award at InfoComm ’07, which was held June 15-21st in Anaheim CA. InfoComm International® is the largest audiovisual and information communications tradeshow in the world with over 800 exhibitors.

Leprecon is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Show Design, as it’s exclusive distributor in Poland. This announcement comes following the recent debut of the of the LP-X series console to the Polish market. The LP-X48 and LP-X24 were both on display during the Music Media show held in Krakow this past September. As commented by Marek Czarnik, Managing Director of Show Design, “the interest level for the LP-X product was very strong and the quality of the product offers a great value.”

Established in 1996, Show Design offers the highest quality equipment from lighting, audio, truss and staging. The markets they serve range from theatres, TV studios, stage and various applications needing sound and lighting products.

Leprecon’s new LDS-610 Dimmer Stick won Best Lighting Product from Rental & Staging Systems at the 2007 InfoComm show held in Anaheim, California from June 19th -21st. Designed as an installation product where limited space and available power are an issue, the LDS-610 dimmer stick was introduced in the fall of 2006.

Leprecon’s Sales Manager, Ed Cheeseman who accepted the award at InfoComm 07 says “ We are honored to have been chosen for this award and excited at the level of interest we’ve had on the LDS-610 since first displaying it at LDI 2006. This product further legitimizes our commitment to the installation market and should be a great tool for schools, theatres, churches and various other venues that need quality distributed dimming.”

The LDS-610 is continually being specified for all types of venues and began shipping in December 2006. Leprecon, LLC manufactures a complete line of dimming and control for live entertainment and permanent installations. Control includes architectural wall stations, memory consoles and moving light consoles. Architectural dimming systems, tree mount and rack mountable dimmer packs as well as complete custom dimmer and power distribution racks built to customer’s specifications.

LD-360 MicroPlex Series Dimmers Discontinued

Leprecon has had a long successful run with our microplex dimmers, however, the time has come to discontinue these models. We anticipate these units to be available through May 2007. After such a date we suggest you contact us for availability. We expect replacement parts to be available for an undetermined amount of time.

Leprecon introduces new LDS-610 Stick Dimmer

The LDS-610 dimmer stick from Leprecon is the ideal piece for any retro fit or application where space and available power are an issue. Each dimmer can be discretely located throughout various venues, such as schools churches and theaters and easily powered by as little as a 20 amp 3-phase circuit. The result is any size dimming system with lower overall equipment and installation costs.

The convection cooled LDS-610 features six channels of dimming with 1200 watts per channel, terminal power input with phase detection, an internal single/three phase switch, and encapsulated chokes for near silent operation. Options include Edison, stage pin or twist lock output connectors.

Leprecon AI-512 Links Litescape Panels to DMX Dimmers
The AI-512 Litescape Architectural Interface is the latest addition to the Litescape Architectural Series from Leprecon. Housed in a 2RU chassis, the AI-512 is equipped with DMX In/Out, an Ethernet connection for programming via a laptop, dual RJ connectors for connecting remote wall panels, and a USB port for show storage and software uploads. The AI-512 will now enable wall panels from the Litescape system to work in conjunction with Leprecon MX and VX series or DMX-512 controlled dimming installation systems.

The AI-512 software allows any system to be easily configured and programmed via a web browser, requiring no additional software. DMX snapshots for fast programming, the ability to merge DMX data with the control console, and a real time status display for set up and configuration are just some of the features users will come to appreciate.

Leprecon has released Version 4 Software for the LP-X series consoles. New in Version 4 is a revised Moving Light Programmer screen that has dramatically improved access to programming data such as Labels, Effects, Timing & Attributes. Pan & Tilt control can now be adjusted not only with the encoders but with the on-board trackball, an external mouse, or the
X Y pad on the touch screen. Also enhanced is the Run Screen for both the Playback & Stack sections, enhancements include Moving Light Scene Information, Playback & Scene titling, and Scene Preview. Other improvements include Fixture Label Import, added Softpatching functionality, & there’s now an on screen keypad for data entry.

Version 4 Software is now available to all LP-X users as a free download from their website (www.leprecon.com) and is also shipping with every LP-X24 or LP-X48.
